If you've been following my Instagram @peacelove_andchickpeas you have an idea of why I created this blog, but for those of you just beginning to "tune in" I'll tell you a little bit about how I came to be the #QueenoftheGarbanzoBean. 

I recently have felt the desire to share what I'm most passionate about and I thought that social media would be the best way. My entire life I've been an avid lover of food and cooking as well as an athlete for as long as I can remember. However, I haven't always known the best way to treat my body and live a balanced life. This past year I've gotten into the best shape (happily), learned how to turn my love of food into a healthy way of living and become an overall more positive and peaceful individual. My immediate life out of college has not gone at all the way I expected it to, but I've been fortunate enough to gain a lot of knowledge and understanding about myself and the world from every experience, and for that, I am not only changed but grateful. 

My ultimate goal for both my blog and Instagram is to share my successes and failures in the kitchen, on the road (or in the gym) and just some general ideas I've learned about living a more vibrant and positive life. By no means am I claiming to be an expert on any of these topics, I just hope that something I post might inspire someone to make a good meal, go for a run or just have a more positive day! And of course, there will be a lot of chickpeas! 

How I Trained Differently For My Upcoming Half Marathon
